Set Your Sights High

At some point you’ll inevitably want to swap your ski outfit for jeans and a jacket. As amazing as all the sporting activities are, there’s so much more to explore in Sölden and the surrounding area. For example, take a drive up to the Timmelsjoch, past the glaciers of the Ötztal Valley, and on to the vineyards of southern Tyrol.

A drive along the panoramic Glacier Road offers endless spectacular views. Or follow the trail of a yeti at the Minerals Exhibition in Berghof Silbertal. And of course you can also enjoy a romantic dinner in the ICE Q – a gourmet restaurant 3,048 meters above sea level, where even James Bond once dined.

Sightseeing Destinations

In winter or summer, for families with children or for a cozy time à deux, for every taste and interest – there are great places to visit around Sölden throughout the year.

007 Elements

On the Gaislachkogel, 3,050 meters above sea level, an interactive James Bond exhibition covering almost 1,300 square meters was dedicated to the 007 agent after scenes were shot here for Spectre. Not to be missed by movie and architecture fans.

Time to Relax

Need to warm up after a day on the piste? Then head for the Freizeit Arena leisure center in Sölden. Round off your day relaxing in the large indoor pool with a water temperature of 30 degrees, enjoy a sauna, or burn off excess energy in the fitness studio.

Area 47

As summer approaches, Area 47 transforms into the ultimate playground for adventure-sports enthusiasts. Whether on water, rock faces or in gorges, on the ground or in the air, there is so much to experience that you will discover something new even after several days.

Mountain passes are generally very impressive. But the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road offers exceptionally breathtaking views. It leads up to 2,509 meters and winds through the dramatic Ötztal glacier, on to the vineyards of the Passeier Valley in South Tirol, as far as Meran.

Ötztaler Funpark

At the Funpark in Huben there’s fun, games, and plenty of action for the whole family. Giant slides, a trampoline, a skate park, and much more are well worth a trip. Afterwards you can fortify yourself on the restaurant terrace with stunning views of the Alps.

Aqua Domes

After a day spent high up in the mountains, this is the perfect place to come back down to earth. The Aqua Dome in Längenfeld – an ultra-modern, luxurious thermal spa – is all about pure relaxation with large bathing and wellness areas. And what makes it so special: the spa is fed by glacier water.
